About CM2

Captain Maribel 2 is a 2025 Ranger Tugs R-31 Command Bridge (CB), a versatile and thoughtfully designed trawler that combines comfort, performance, and functionality for extended cruising adventures.

Design & Layout

The R-31 CB features a flybridge equipped with full helm controls, offering an elevated vantage point for navigation and relaxation. The flybridge is designed to retract, allowing for easier trailering of the vessel (which we don’t do!).

The interior boasts two staterooms: a forward master stateroom with an island berth and en suite head, and a midship stateroom with a day head. The galley is fully equipped with a propane stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and a wine/whiskey cooler, making meal preparation convenient and enjoyable.

Performance & Handling

Powered by a 320 HP Volvo D4 diesel inboard engine, the R-31 CB achieves a cruising speed of approximately 16 knots. The vessel is equipped with bow and stern thrusters, along with a wireless thruster remote, facilitating precise maneuvering in tight spaces. She docks like a breeze – even single-handed!

Comfort & Amenities

Designed for comfort in various climates, the R-31 CB includes climate control systems with heating for those chilly PNW nights. The spacious cockpit features wraparound seating with fold-out gunwale seats, a cockpit freezer, sink, and table, creating an inviting space for socializing and relaxation.

Navigation & Technology

The helm stations are equipped with advanced navigation systems, including Garmin chartplotters, radar, sonar, and autopilot functionalities. A sliding helm door provides easy access to the side decks, enhancing safety and convenience during docking and line handling. Be careful though, Wendy knocked the living $hit out of her knee on that thing.

Captain Maribel 2 embodies the perfect balance of luxury and practicality, making her an ideal companion for exploring the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
